About Oreo
Oreo… Delicious to look at, soft and creamy in the middle! Oreo loves life, he likes to eat.. a lot! Likes to run… a lot.. and he is fast!
Fantastic with other dogs, young Oreo gets along with different personalities, he likes to play with the younger dogs but respects the older grumpy ones. Loves meeting new dogs at the dog park, but needs to learn not to run straight up to strange dogs.
Good with cats. Also has met sheep, cattle, horses and chickens! Although he hasn’t been in the paddock or coup with them, he shows no obsession.
Sweet and easy Oreo knows basic manners. He is very smart but has the cattle dog trait of sometimes just not wanting to do it! Is learning to walk on a lead, has walked with a harness and a halti. Oreo comes when he is called although not always by the most direct route (hey there is lots to explore in this beautiful world). Toilet trained.
Oreo does like a cuddle, but is also a little independent and has chosen to sleep in the lounge rather than the bedroom.
He isn’t fostered with children but he is generally sweet natured. Although as he is a pup still can be a little boisterous.
Life obviously hasn’t always been this good for Oreo and you can sometimes see that he is wary about things. ie. He panicked when his sutures were removed. And he must have been told off as initially when he came back when called he wouldn’t come within reach, but now that he trusts his foster carer this is not an issue

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
