About Pat ~ 7yo Red Cattle boy (Trial 23/11/16)
Pat is a friendly, 7 year old, male, red Australian Cattle Dog. He has a happy temperament and gets on well with everyone, even cats! He loves the water and would be your perfect companion for outings to the beach, lake or bush.
Pat is a very social boy – he likes company and is happy to just chill out with you or play with a ball. He is well behaved inside and he likes to sleep inside on his own bed at night.
Pat is good with children and would love to have a family to play with. He is even ok with cats! He is also a good watch dog and will let you know if someone is arriving.
He really enjoys a daily walk to keep him fit and happy. He hasn't had much experience walking on lead yet so he tends to pull a bit but with a little positive reinforcement training I’m sure he’ll improve. He just needs someone to take the time to train him. He is very intelligent and keen to learn. Pat also travels well in the car and would love to have some adventures with you!
For more information or to meet Pat, please contact his foster carer Loraine on 02 4023 3085. Pat is in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Pat's adoption fee is only $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
