Adeline (Addie)

Addie is sweet, petite and will melt your heart with her enormous heart and incredible smile.

This little 18kg girl is an excellent companion with beautiful manners within the home who absolutely loves humans and shows no aggression whatsoever towards people.

Addie is an inside pooch. Her coat is very fine so requires protection from the elements. She will laze around on her bed or on the couch with you. Everything you do is interesting, her main interest is you! Addie also loves her soft toys and will often keep herself and onlookers entertained. She loves to run around the garden to expel energy and enjoys a game of tug-of-war. Addie is completely house trained and is very regular at going to the toilet in the morning straight after breakfast, in the evening after tea and again before bed. Addie knows how to come, sit, drop, stay and to be quiet. Her manners around food are impeccable as she waits patiently for the command, ok. Addie shows no aggression at all while eating, in fact you can put your hand into the food bowl while she is eating, or take her bone away, it does not phase her one bit.

Let’s go for a drive in the car! Addie is an excellent passenger and understands that she has to stay in the back. If you have to go to the shops, Addie will wait patiently for your return.

Walking is a very exciting time although Addie does settle quickly and is quite manageable on short lead with harness. Someone with experience and patience can teach this little girl many new tricks.

Although Addie has played with a select few dogs, it is very important to assess the situation carefully as she is dominant. Meeting new dogs is overwhelming so ongoing training and socialisation should curb her over excited behavior and she would ideally be an only dog. To Addie, cats, livestock and birds are things you chase and she would not suit a home where she is alone for lengthy periods of time. She has been away on camping/fishing trips and was an absolute delight. Her recall is immediate.

Addie is ready for her forever home and would suit someone who wants a loving companion. While in care, Addie has been spoilt rotten and deserves the best care for the rest of her days.
