About Ebony & Luna ~ 5yo Beagles (on trial 10/11/16)
Introducing 5 year old Beagle sisters Ebony and Luna!… two happy girls who are an absolute delight.
Although sisters, they have their own unique personalities. Luna is outgoing, head strong and will greet you with enthusiasm, whereas Ebony is a little shy and cautious until she warms up to you. They both have beautiful, friendly natures and are very easy to take care of. They currently live with two small senior doggy friends and a kitty cat. They all get along fabulously.
During the day Ebony and Luna are at their happiest being outside in the garden exploring and snoozing. Going for their daily walk is the highlight of their day. They get so excited and enjoy every minute being out and about. They also love the water and enjoy going for a swim in the lake.
Ebony and Luna are both house trained and at night love being inside with you. They are very well behaved and when it is time for bed they currently sleep outside under a covered pergola.
Both love their food a little too much and have become overweight. They are food guzzlers and need to be supervised when eating. Since they have been in my care they have been eating a healthy diet but they still have a few kilos to lose, so food control and daily exercise is a must.
Ebony and Luna cannot be separated and have to be adopted together. To thrive and continue to be happy they need a forever home where they will be kept active and are in a loving environment where they will be treated as a family member. They may not be suitable for a family with small children. Ebony and Luna are strong girls so they could accidentally knock small children over.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
