About Milo
Milo was ufnortunately returned to care recently after a failed adoption trial. Milo did nothing wrong, however the resident dog took a stern disliking to him and started to beat him up. Despite this, Milo continues to love all types of dogs.
Milo is a beautifully marked blue merle tri-color. He came to us from a rural pound, where he was marked as Catahoula, though we cannot be sure of the parentage of any pound dog. He weighs only 15kg.
Milo is a little bucket of happiness and energy. He loves to play, and can be vocal during play. I call him the dog with springs for legs, as he loves to bounce and jump, and has a good reach too!
Milo has frequently attended the local dog park, pet shop and pet friendly cafe, and in all situations his behavior has been perfect. He does not bark, whine or jump, he doesn't pull on the lead, he greets strangers and dogs beautifully and submissively.
He loves running around playing with our resident dogs. His tail NEVER stops wagging!
He is good with cats, dogs and people. He has met children frequently at the local pet store, and has shown nothing but an immense love for the little humans. He has been tested on chickens and shown little interest in them. He was more focused on his foster carer and seeking attention.
Milo is intelligent, and combined with his fun-loving attitude, he should be a joy to train and work with.
Milo is living inside and has settled in really well. He sleeps in a dog crate with no noise, no chewing and no accidents. He is an awesome little dog.
Medical notes
Milo does not display any issues with blindness or deafness associated with his color.
Please note - white dog in photos is NOT available for adoption, he is a resident dog.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
