About Marc
Introducing Marc….
Marc is around 1 year of age and he’s a bull arab x. He is a big gentle giant who will make a wonderful companion to a loving family that is keen to welcome a large lap-dog into their lives. Marc loves nothing more than hanging out with his people and his favourite thing in the whole world is to curl up on the couch and nap with his human and canine family members.
Marc is one of our extra-special dogs in need of a forever home. Not only is he deaf, but he also has limited vision. Marc has a condition called ‘microphthalmia’. This means that his eyes are smaller than normal, limiting his vision because everything that would normally fit into a standard sized eye is squished into a smaller space. The smaller sized eyes also result in the third eyelids covering a large part of Marc’s eyes. Marc still has some vision and navigates confidently wherever he is.
Marc gets along well with other dogs english staffy sized and larger. He plays gently and happily puts up with his staff foster sister bouncing all over him. He’s untested with smaller dogs and also untested with cats. Given his size (and the fact that he’s still learning how big he is!), Marc wouldn’t be suited to a home with small children. Marc will require a home with 6ft fencing.
Marc is fully toilet trained and is making progress with his basic obedience training. We’re extra-impressed with Marc’s training progress as he’s actually learning two languages. With his limited vision we are focusing on training him using touch commands. However, he’s been paying close attention to the signed commands his deaf foster sister follows and he’s learning to obey those too.
Marc is currently attending a local doggy daycare while his foster family are at work each day and he loves the opportunity to hang out with different people and different dogs each day. He’s also a favourite at the daycare because when it’s nap time he happily curls up and snoozes, ignoring the noise and antics of the other dogs. The daily trips to daycare have also shown that Marc travels wonderfully in the car - jumping in, settling down and enjoying each journey.
Marc has just been desexed. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm/worm/flea/tick treated.
Marc is currently located in Canberra, ACT. Interstate adoption is available, with transport costs payable by the adopter.

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
