Mavro

This little boy is beyond cute!

Mavro is the absolute sweetest puppy out. He is a true companion dog who likes to be with his humans all the time; following them around, getting cuddles, or having some fun. Mavro is very human orientated and thrives off your attention. His absolute favourite place to nap is in your lap. You can see on his face how much he loves the attention and affection that you give him, and in return he will give you lots of kisses to show you how much he appreciates it!

Mavro has been in care with his brother and two other large dogs who he gets along with well. You can often catch him taking one of his toys over to the big dogs to play, and this is even cuter when the toy is almost as large as he is! When playing with his brother he enjoys a good game of chasings or tug of war. Mavro will need continued socialisation and would benefit from puppy school classes to help him find other puppies a similar size to himself to become friends with.

During his time in care, Mavro has begun basic training. He is learning to sit for treats and will come running through the house to his foster carer when called. Mavro is food motivated and therefore it should be easy for his new family to continue his training. It is very important that his new family are committed to this as he is still very young and will have lots more to learn. As previously mentioned he is a great candidate for puppy preschool and then can move onto general dog training/obedience classes. Mavro is crate trained and his toilet training is progressing well for his age. Although he will only be a small dog, Mavro will require daily exercise or stimulation to keep him healthy and happy.

Mavro is more of a timid boy who needs someone who can stand by his side when he faces new experiences. However, he is growing in confidence each day and the world won’t seem so big and scary as he starts to get bigger. Consequently, we are looking for a home where someone will be home most of the time and who is looking for a true companion dog. It would also be great if there was another friendly dog to give him more confidence but not essential if someone is around all of the time. Mavro is an indoor dog and he will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on. He should be a part of the family and included in the daily activities so that he gets the attention that he deserves.
