Hi there! I'm Missy. I have found myself in need of a new home in my golden years as sadly my owner became unwell and could not care for me any more.
I'm not something you see every day - I didn't come here from another planet (though my little alien face could say otherwise!) rather I am a purebred Devon Rex. We rexes are known for our short, wavy, allergy-friendly coats, our adorable curly whiskers and huge expressive eyes - and I have all those in spades!!
I am a super sweetheart who has lived my whole life with an older lady, 2 other cats and one dog - so I'm used to a pretty quiet, chilled-out existence and that is how I would like things to stay, a noisy and busy household with kids would be a bit much for little me. As you can imagine I'm pretty stressed out about losing everything familiar to me but I'm coping remarkably well. I just need a new family who will be patient and loving with me in the beginning so that they can bask in all my love down the track. I love gentle pats and smooches and my fur is just irresistible to touch. I will be a loyal, loving, adoring friend once we get to know each other.
You could adopt me with one of my former roommates Jessie or Milly, though I would get on just fine on my own. Please be aware that I must be a fully indoor cat in my new home.

Medical notes
Rex cats are very prone to poor dental health. (Maybe it is genetic, maybe we just don't floss enough...)
I actually have pretty darn nice teeth at the moment, though I have already lost a few. To ensure they stay clean and healthy, it is strongly recommended that I eat a dental diet or have additional measures taken - my adoption fee includes a bonus bag of Hills Prescription t/d food and a bottle of plaque-off!

Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
