About Scrappy
The fluff ball that thinks he is a kelpie! Scrappy goes for walks with the kelpies in the paddocks and it looks like a teddy bear is launching out of the long grass as he runs!
Cute little Scrappy loves to be with his person and loves a cuddle. He becomes very bonded to his people. He would love to accompany you in the garden, schools runs, parks, anywhere he is with you he is happy.
Scrappy is brilliant on lead trotting along beside you. He knows his name and comes when he is called. He knows "sit", "on the bed" and to wait until he is told he can eat his dinner.
With a beautiful gentle personality Scrappy is brilliant with other dogs either small or kelpie size. He adapts to the way the other dog wants to play, he will play tug of war with the JRT, wrestle with one of the kelpies, play zoomies with the other kelpie and just hang out with the older blue heeler. Scrappy's ideal home would be with another doggy friend.
With another dog Scrappy is perfectly happy to be outside during the day if you are at work. If you are home he does like to be with you and will follow you everywhere.
Given leadership and rules Scrappy is a smart little boy.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
