Meet our sweet Kelpie Mumma, Stella!
Stella was taken out of a local pound along with her 7 puppies. Our Paw Patrol named litter. Now that her mummy duties are complete, she is looking for a new home to kick back and relax in and enjoy her independence. She is a sweet little lady with a soft nature. She is on the smaller side of a medium sized dog, weighing in at a whole 14kg. Stella displays great house manners but could do with some more basic obedience. That being said though, she does walk well on a lead, you definitely don't have to worry about your arm being pulled off.
Stella gets along very well with other dogs. She likes to pounce and do the sudden play bow to engage a game of chase. When playing group ball games she likes to herd the dogs instead of chasing of the ball. She's quite energetic during play time but settles well and also enjoys a good snooze. Being a working breed mix, Stella will require daily physical and mental stimulation. A good walk once or twice a day and long lasting entertaining breakfast will do the trick. She can keep herself occupied as long as she starts the day off on the right foot. Stella is a little bit of a rat chasing dog so we wouldn't recommend a home with 'pocket' pets. She spends some time searching for rats and will show interest in her carers Galah or in garden lizards, while there is not a great deal of intensity about her during this behavior, its still there.
To sum her up, Stella is just simply super sweet. Once bonded, she will follow you everywhere and stay by your side for her entire life. If you think you have what it takes to win Stella's heart please contact us to organise a meeting.
