About Marvellous Marty
These photos don't come close to showing off what a stunner this lovely boy is but they do show the windows to his soul, his gorgeous piercing blue eyes.
As a youngster this boy was rescued from the streets and had a loving family for a long time but sadly they have now moved interstate and Marty wasn't included in the travel plans. Marty is an absolute sweetheart who loves pats and smooches. He is a little shy of new people and situations to begin with but once he warms to you this guy is just a total lovebug. His coat is gloriously soft and just begs to be patted and stroked as much as you can possibly manage and he would love to be your new shadow, hanging out with you around the house.
Marty has lived with other cats before and has made friends with a number of new cats while in foster care. He is a bit standoffish to start but with some time, patience and perseverance he would really enjoy the company of another cat. He has also lived with dogs before and could adjust to a social canine friend. Marty has also lived with kids before, though he is more of a lazy smoocher than a playful chap so he would be better suited to a mature family who is looking for a lap companion. This stunning boy deserves to be in his new family asap so get in touch today!!
Medical notes
Mr Marty has unfortunately contracted FIV (the feline immunodeficinecy virus which is a precursor to feline AIDS) somewhere along the line.
FIV in NOT transmissable to humans, dogs, or any animals other than cats and being FIV positive does NOT mean that a cat is going to pass away suddenly or soon.
FIV positive cats can lead long and healthy lives with the help of the people in their lives. Because FIV is communicable to other cats, Marty must be kept strictly indoors or in a secure cat run at all times. If living with another cat,, it would need to be fully FIV vaccinated, or also FIV positive. He will require annual health checks just like any cat and if he does happen to get sick, he may need a little extra help to get better. SAFE Avon Valley will happily assist you in accessing treatment for Marty in the future if this is required.
In the meantime, he is otherwise a happy and healthy boy!
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
