About Whippy
This lovely lady is Whippy.
Whippy has a very calm and sweet nature. She can be a little timid at first but that is due to all the changes she has had and her confidence will develop once she knows she is safe.
She would love nothing more than to find her new home so she can settle in and be a much loved member of the family. We are not sure how much attention she has received in the past but she is happy to accept all the love she is offered. She is very affectionate.
A home with a dog friendly man in the house would be perfect for Whippy as she seems to attach herself to men more-so that women. She is happy to have a mum in the home and will enjoy spending time with her but does seem to bond much better with males.
Whippy gets along really well with other dogs and loves to play. She is currently in care with a couple of dogs of similar size and they all get along really well. Whippy will be looking for a home with a desexed male dog to avoid any dominance issues as she matures. Considering her breed, she has a good run and is the ready to sit and chill. She is quite laid back and enjoys lazing around watching her foster carer go about her day.
Whippy will be looking for a home where she will be offered the security of sleeping indoors and being welcomed inside through the day to feel like a special part of the family. Her carer has been working on her toilet training and besides the occasional accident she is doing very well. She has also been crate trained and will hop on her bed when she is told to. She will require a home with a good sized yard and a relaxed yet playful dog to help continue building her own confidence. A home without another dog will not be considered. This decision has been made in her best interest as she thrives from their company and will not cope well being on her own while her family are busy.
Being out and about is something we believe she has not experienced a lot so slow introductions will be important to help her adjust. We believe she will be a very loyal friend to her new family. She has not met any children while she has been with us but considering her very loving nature we believe she would nicely suit a home with children 10+ as small children may be a little too noisy and hectic for her.
Whippy has been around cats and does occasionally like to chase for fun. She has never been a threat to them but a home with no cats would be preferable.
If you think you can offer Whippy a happy future we look forward to hearing from you
Whippy is currently in Morwell, VIC
Medical notes
Whippy has been desexed, microchipped and is up to date on her vaccinations. She has also received regular flea and worm treatment
