About Paul
This handsome boy is Paul.
Paul is looking for a loving home where he can be a very important part of the family.
Paul has had a rough start to life with a few issues requiring surgery. Being young he has healed very well. Not long after coming into care Paul suffered from an Avulsion fracture which was repaired with surgery. A short time after this he suffered from elbow dysplasia and more surgery was done to have this corrected. He may need further surgery in the future but nothing at this stage.
Paul is an extremely gentle and affectionate boy who absolutely adores children. He loves nothing more than having long cuddles on the sofa with the children in his foster home. For this reason we would really like to find Paul a home with a young family so he will get to enjoy lots of time with the young members in the home.
Paul is a very loyal boy who will benefit well from obedience training to help him create a bond with his new family. Due to the above medical reasons Paul has been in his foster home for quite some time so it may take him a little while to adjust so some patience and lots of love will help him settle quickly. He enjoys being an important part of the family and gets to spend a lot of time indoors and he is fully toilet trained. We would like to see this opportunity continue for him in his new home and a warm bed indoors overnight to help him feel safe and secure.
Paul is a big bouncy pup. He has short bursts of energy but he is growing into a big boy and he calms down pretty quickly. He will require a home with a good sized yard where he will have lots of room to stretch his legs.
Paul's socialisation was sadly delayed due to all his recovery time so he hasn't had a lot of chances to mix with other dogs. He gets along exceptionally well with his foster brother but can be a little reactive towards other dogs. He feels the need to behave in a defensive manner to protect himself. His carer is working with him but at this stage he is still unsure. He would suit a home where he will be given the opportunity of a very slow and relaxed introduction to another dog or a home where he will have someone home with him throughout the day. He will not cope being left alone all day and will become bored and destructive if this was to happen.
Paul is quite calm and walks very well on lead but sometimes can again be reactive to other dogs just to let them know to stay away. This is all due to his insecurities. He wants to play but doesn't know how.
If you would like to know more about Paul we look forward to hearing from you and will happily discuss any questions further
Paul is currently in Ringwood East, VIC
Medical notes
Paul has previously has surgery for an Avulsion fracture and elbow dysplasia. Being young he has recovered well and has now been given clearance from his surgeon. He should not require further treatment in the future
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
