About Sootie ~ Cattle dog x Staffy (On Trial 1/3/17)
Sootie is a beautiful male Cattle dog x Staffy. He is approximately just over one year old. He is a beautiful natured dog and will greet you every time he sees you.
Sootie is looking for a home that has a big yard because he loves running around. He will need a dog friend to keep him company while no one is home as he can get anxious. As he is young he still needs training to not jump up so he is not suitable for young children. Sootie has never shown any signs of aggression towards any other dogs, he only wants to play. He is a dog with a lot of energy but will entertain himself with lots of chewy toys and ropes.
Sootie is a playful dog who is full of energy but he just needs that person who is willing to give time and care to him. Sootie has come a long way since being in care. He has gained over 5 kilos and has been restored back to full health after coming in very neglected. He's best keep outside and allowed inside only under supervision. Sootie can be very anxious of his surroundings at times thus needs time and patience to help settle him. He can be very wary of males yet does not show any signs of aggression towards anything, he just needs time to come around.
Sootie loves chewing toys and being free to run around in a big backyard. He enjoys going to off-leash fenced areas as he loves playing with other dogs. He is a perfect companion for another young dog who is looking for a fur friend.
Sootie is a beautiful young dog who deserves to find his forever home, he just needs a chance.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
