About Sammie
Sammie is a beautiful red cattle dog who was surrendered by a very loving owner. Her neighbour had been tormenting her through making loud unexpected noises, calling to her then screaming at her. The owner had tried to stop her neighbour several times without any success, she asked the council if there was anything she could do? They said they were not able to help, so in the end for Sammie's mental preservation the owner decided to surrender her to Happy Paws Haven. She is a very gentle girl, would like to be in an adult household, due to the abuse she has suffered from the neighbour. She is a little timid when you first meet her but once she knows you will treat her kindly and gentle she will come happily up to greet you whenever you appear. She is also a good watch dog without going over the top. She really is a very special girl for a very special person, is that you?
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, \ fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
