About Washee
Washee is a 18 month old Kelpie x Staffy. He is a gorgeous boy who loves people once he gets to know them. He can be a little timid when meeting strangers, however he has a huge heart and just wants to be loved.
He loves to be out on his walk to explore the world (he would make a great jogging companion!) and because of this excitement he can be strong on lead. We believe that training will help him to cease this behaviour. He does require a lot of exercise as he is very energetic and would need to be rehomed to an active family.
Washee shows no signs of food aggression and will sit and wait for his food to be served. He is very food motivated and still a young boy and this will help with his continued training.
His forever home will need secure 6' fencing and preferably someone who is home with him as much as possible to help him gain back his confidence.
In the shelter environment he is feeling a little stressed, but would likely blossom in a home environment. As he is so young, further socialisation and a positive. loving environment will build his confidence and ease his stress of new situations and people.
Washee is looking for his forever home where he will be included as part of the family and involved in the day to day activities. At this point, Washee will need to be an only dog - but with further socialisation and training in a home environment, and with proper introductions, this may change.
Washee's adoption fee is $350 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Washeeis also regularly treated for flea and worms.

Adoption details
Please phone or email us to find out more information on our animals. You will be asked to fill in a questionnaire. This questionnaire is confidential and does not oblige you to adopt, or guarantee you the animal. The information you provide helps the facility to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home.
Once the questionnaire and any questions you may have are approved and answered, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the facility unless prior arrangements are made by management.
After the meet and greet, a yard check will be completed at your home to ensure that your home and yard is suitable for the kind of pet you are interested in.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
