About Chief DL1235
Hi! I'm Chief and I am a gorgeous young man who can't wait to find my forever home.
I take a little while to warm up to new things and new people, but once I do I'll lean up against you and happily clean behind your ears with big doggy kisses.
Size: I'm a medium sized boy with floppy Beagle ears and a huge heart. All the better to love you with!
Coat: My coat is woven with deep gold and shiny black. You'd think it'd be fur, but nope... it's made of best mate material (see what I did there?!).
Eyes / Eyebrows: Good luck trying to resist my adorable owl-face markings and my bright amber eyes.
My interests: If you hadn't guessed, "Chief" is short for Chief Exercise Officer (CEO), as I am a dedicated pawsonal trainer. Cardio is always more fun together, especially if your running buddy is as spunky as me!
My skills: I should mention, "Chief" can also stand for Chief Taste-tester - another important role in the household that I don't take lightly! My foster carer and I tend to eat our meals at the same time, so I am busy taste testing my dinner instead of critiquing theirs...
I'm a great watch dog and will let you know when anyone is at the door. I'm a pro at tug of war too, and love playing with tough chew toys.
My bucket list: I'm a loving dog who just wants some simple things in life; a lap to sit on, a park to run in, some grass to roll on, maybe a calm canine friend to hang out with, and an owner who will help me encounter new things at my own pace.
My ideal match: I'm looking for The One! Someone who will take the time to continue my training and socialisation while also sharing lots of fun and adventures. I learn quick with treats & a clicker and my favourite trick is a good paw shake!
More info: I'm best suited to a confident person or couple in a home without cats or young kids. Dogs can make me nervous until I get to know them better, though I do enjoy the company of my Mini Dachshund foster sister and playing in the morning sun together.
It's time! For what, you may ask?? Well, for you to email your enquiry about adopting me, of course!
