About Kirra D0611 adopted 24/1/17
Kirra is a lovely dog although can be nervous of new situations, unexpected noises etc, so she will need a patient and gentle home who understands this. She seems to take to women a bit easier than men although once she knows them she is fine. She would prefer a home where people are not coming and going (eg FIFO) so she has a stable environment and can bond well with her new family members. Kirra appears to be great with kids and has been gentle and patient with the ones she has met since being in care. She is house trained and will wait until the morning to go to the toilet. She is dog friendly with her carer's multiple dogs, although she will warn dogs who get in her face too much and must be fed on her own and away from other animals as she is food possessive. She is getting used to cats in her foster home; has a bit of interest in chooks but we think after more exposure she would totally ignore them.
If you feel you have the right home and lifestyle for our lovely Kirra, and wish to find out more, please enquire and include the following info in your enquiry:
Your family members (eg if children what age/s)
Fencing/yard

Whether your dog will be inside or outside and where she would sleep at night
Ability to exercise daily and socialise regularly
