About Lola ~ Staffy x Bull Terrier (on trial 29/01/17)
Hi there, my name’s Lola! I’m an 11 month old female staffy x bull terrier, but don’t be fooled by the title… I’m the biggest softy you’ll ever meet! I was rescued just in the nick of time from a pound in Dubbo and bought all the way to Newcastle, and I've been getting happier and more playful every day since.
I absolutely love cuddles on the couch and when I sleep with my foster humans at night I sleep the whole way through until morning without making a peep. Honestly, cuddles are just the best thing ever in my opinion!! I do very much prefer to sleep inside with my humans, I love company so much and I get lonely outside, but I will sleep outside if I absolutely have to (just be prepared for some serious sad eyes)
Whilst I do have bursts of bull terrier energy throughout the day I’m very easily entertained and mostly just want to spend time with my humans whatever they might be doing. I love walks and napping afterwards, and I’m very smart so my training sessions are always a blast. I’m fine with having cats around in my house/yard, they usually like to make sure I know who’s boss! I have had some scary experiences with other dogs in the past so I’m a little bit scared of other unfamiliar dogs but my social skills are getting better and better with each new meeting, I think I'd really like another dog at home to keep me company while you're not around but you’ll need to make sure we get along well before you bring me home, a first meeting on neutral territory would be best. I almost never bark (my neighbours are amazed at how quiet I am!) and I've not had any inside accidents so far, I'm very well house trained!
My play style is pretty boisterous so even though I like children I’m not well suited to a home with small children or elderly people as I may bump them over while I’m trying to play. I would be best suited to a home with someone who has plenty of time to spend with me as I get lonely easily, but when I’m left to my own devices while my foster parents are at work/uni I like to go for treat scavenger hunts around the back yard, play with a food toy or frozen treats, or just nap in the shade until they get back. If I have too many treats at once I start trying to bury them but with a bit of training and treats that only last one sitting that shouldn't be a problem in the future. I'd thrive best with humans who have some experience with bull terriers or staffies because I'm made up of some quite cheeky breeds!
I can't wait to meet you and kiss you, I won't jump up though I promise! I'm very very good at sit :D If you'd like to see how well I sit and just how much I'll love you, my foster mum's name is Beth and you can contact her on 0401217452 or at bethannej.89@gmail.com (emails preferred as my foster mum works nights on weekends and might be in class or an exam during the week).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
