About China ~ Cattle x Border Collie (On Trial 5/11/16)
Meet China!! China is a 3 year old male Cattle dog x Border Collie who everyone thinks is the sweetest boy around.
This guy is very special to his foster mum. He spent his first couple of hours in foster care laying on the bedroom floor cuddling into her. He is an extremely affectionate and loyal dog.
China lives outside with 2 pugs. He is happy being outside but does like to spend cooler nights and hot days inside. He can sit, fetch, and comes when called.
China's best quality is he absolutely loves being around people! Whether it's kicking a soccer ball with the family or watching movies on the couch, he just wants to be involved.
In his foster house are a 5 yr old boy and a 1 yr old girl. He is totally trusted around them. He will lay down while the 1yr old climbs all over him and pulls on his collar all whilst still wagging his tail.
He is also a very gentle boy. He will not knock kids over but delicately walk around them. Even with food he will ever so gently take it out of your hand or even from your teeth!
China isn't an overly active dog. He spends most of the day relaxing in his yard. He does love to play games and chase his ball and he will give it back to you! He has been to the beach a few times and thinks it's the best! He isn't too phased on the waves and will happily swim out with you.
He has an existing injury to one of his eyes. He has lost a tiny bit of vision due to this but doesn't bother him. The vet has said he has been scratched over his eye causing his eyelid to not close completely. It only requires occasional eye drops when his eye becomes dry or possibly gets dirt in it.
China can be selective with his fur friends. He can get a bit possessive. But it tends to be only when humans are nearby.
His ideal home would be with a family with kids of any age. Preferably as an only dog so he gets all the attention.
China's adoption fee is $350. China is in foster care with Lauren. Phone 0400400789 or email laurendare@hotmail.com. China is in Salt Ash just north of Newcastle. He is desexed, microchipped, wormed, free of fleas and up to date with vaccinations.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
