About Elsie

Elsie's my name and my one true love is humans. I've been busy the last few months being a mum to my 8 beautiful babies who have now all found their forever homes. Now I'm enjoying the freedom of just being me!
I'm a medium energy dog who enjoys heading out on an adventure, whether it be around the neighborhood, to the beach or just a road trip. As long as it's with my humans, I'm not fussed about the destination. I'm fairly easy to walk on leash and have excellent recall and being that I'm only around knee height, I'm easily controllable.
For some reason, bigger dogs than myself do make me feel uncomfortable and I may react by telling them to move on. Unfortunately, your interpretation of this is known as 'barking'. Some reassurance from you may be required :)
I'd really like a home where you'll allow me to live both inside and outside as part of the family and being that I'm toilet trained and have good manners, you'll love having me hang out with you. I promise to be the best snuggle buddy you've ever had! Oh....if you have a resident cat, I probably should mention my excitement when they run. I'm not sure if I would intentionally hurt them, but I'm certainly up for a game of chase.
Although I'm currently not living with young children, my sweet, gentle nature with older children has been proven while in care, and I won't rule out applications for those of you with young ones. They would have no issues feeding me treats as I'm very gentle when taking food from my humans. I'm also happy to eat whatever is on the menu.
Please don't be concerned about me being an only dog, getting bored and destroying your house and yard....I actually enjoy my own company and as long as you provide me with toys, I'll find ways to amuse myself while your out. Separation anxiety is not something you need to worry about with me!
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and me.
That's me in a nutshell....interviews will be held in Lake Haven or surrounding suburbs. My vet work is now complete so I'm ready to move in whenever you are.

* Yard check will be done to confirm you have a fully fenced secure yard and adequate shelter when Elsie is outdoors.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
