On Hold
About Sam - on hold pending adoption
Sam is a beautifully bred and well natured eight year old German Shepherd whose owner has become unwell and has had to make the hard decision to part with him.
Sam has been allowed to put on a little too much weight probably sitting beside his old owner and helping him eat his morning tea and sharing his biscuits. He is a lovely gentle dog with a loving nature and very much a people focused dog who will sit quietly beside your chair or go for a gentle walk each day. Sam is currently on a diet so he can loose a little bit of his chub.
Sam came to us with ear mites and was shaking his head so we have had his ears thoroughly cleaned and swabbed and treated by a vet and his ears are now good although one has a curl as a result of shaking his head.
Due to him being overweight Sam has developed an injury to his front leg but with time and less weight he will gradually overcome the problem.
Sam is sociable with other dogs his size, and definitely not a guard dog, but a big softie that loves human company. He has excellent manners, voice responsive, is house trained and travels well in the car.
Sam is looking for someone that can give him a loving home where he will be part of the the family and who will give him a good diet.
If you are interested in adopting Sam please email us about your family, how much experience you have had with German Shepherds, what other pets you have, your address, how large your garden is, the type and height of your fences, how much time Sam will be on his own, and where he will sleep.
Medical notes
Sam is fully vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. He has been flea treated and wormed and will be professionally groomed prior to going to his new home.
