Just look at Chevy’s handsome face! He’s such a big, beautiful boy!

He’s had a fair bit of upheaval in the last few months so is a little slow to trust. He has come out of his shell in his foster home and is a happy energetic lad who loves to play and cuddle. He’d love a forever home to settle into.

Chevy likes to test his boundaries but he has responded very well to training by his foster mum once he learned to trust. He will need a confident owner willing to be patient and consistent with his training, in a home without young kids.

He is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat. He knows Sit and Drop and to wait for his food. He is so gentle when offered food from your hand. He can get a little overexcited on occasion so he is now working on “gentle” and has learned that he has to wait on his couch for his dinner.

He’s walking beautifully on lead with a Gentle Leader Halti and has made great progress working without it. His recall is improving though sometimes he likes to wait till he’s finished what he’s doing before coming back. Chevy loves the beach and while he’s not too keen on the waves will happily romp back and forth along the shore as long as you’ll let him.

Chevy is currently living with a male dog, a female dog and two cats without any problems, though supervised cat interaction is recommended. He’d love a boisterous playmate who can hold their own to romp with and a family to love him forever.
