About Jamie
We would like to introduce Jamie,
Jamie is a 6 year old Chinese crested who has had an awful start to life, which has greatly affected her trust in people, but after being in foster care for just over 2 months she has opened up so much, Jamie went from hiding away from the world, not trusting anyone, her tail constantly being in between her legs to now happily hanging out in the lounge room and playing with the other dogs.
Although Jamie has made so much improvement she still has a way to go, she will need a home where she will be given a lot of time, space and patience as she is still not fully comfortable with people. Jamie does allow you to pick her up if need be and she needs to be ushered outside and then inside again to go toilet, but this is getting better. Jamie’s foster mum is able to pick her up and put her on her bed or lounge to watch TV and Jamie settles and goes straight to sleep, when handled she loves to be petted and scratched and really seems to enjoy it.
We would love for Jamie to have a home of her own with a playmate as she takes comfort in other dogs. Jamie is great with dogs of all sizes and is great with cats and rabbits, she doesn’t like commotion or loud noise, so a home with children and or a busy home would not be suitable for her as this would stress her out.
Jamie needs someone who is happy for her to just be in the home, to allow her to do what she wishes, at least until she feels more comfortable. Jamie is a no fuss girl, she doesn’t search for attention and is happy to just laze around the house or outside in the sun, she isn’t leash trained and fears the lead so this will take a lot of time and patience to get her used to. If you would love to give Jamie a loving furever home please contact us.
