About Coke
She came into care extremely underweight at 11kgs for 7 months old. She has spent 3 months building muscle tone & getting healthy. Now she is as pretty as a picture, good 25kgs, active, responsive & most importantly very healthy. She has been desexed & all her vet work is done. As an adolescent she is still bouncing between being silly sometimes & acting like an adult, this is normal & she does settle. She loves her toys & is very responsive to training & food treats, knows & obeys sit, down & is working on stay. She comes to me in my yard on call, but i have not tried off leash as i have no parks in my area. Being gs she has a tendency to bark first & check out quietly later. So meeting & greeting other dogs needs to be handled correctly. I find her a quick learner & the calmer the handler the easier the transition. She looks for reassurance & direction & gets it from me. My oh has walked her & finds she doesn't do loose lead work quite so well with him as me. This is not an issue particularly. She loves people & is excited to see you. We've worked on stopping jumping up & she knows better, but that teenage brain of hers occasionally stops functioning & she jumps up on visitors. She is house trained & travels well in the car. I prefer she is rehomed to a house with older children & an experienced big dog family. Couples without children or those who can spend time at home throughout the week intermittently. Part time or working from home or retired etc. She would benefit from ongoing training as the mental stimulation is fantastic for her. She doesn't bark for no reason or upset the neighbours, all in all she is a lovely dog who needs direction & gentle handling. If you feel you can offer her the home she deserves call me to discuss. . . . I do not reply to emails atm as my home internet connection is down. Thanks
