Mr Chu (Chewy)

Chewy is a snuggly little love bug.

He loves being around you, sitting in your lap, having a good scratch and cuddle. He likes going everywhere with you even if it's just to the letterbox (on a leash of course as he becomes selectively deaf and likes to go off and explore). Chewy especially enjoys a car ride. He gets very excited when he hears the car keys and spins in circles. He will settle well and travel well in the car.

Chewy is just starting to play chasing games and you will see his happy spirit when you play with him. His foster mum says he looks like he is laughing as he runs from her. Chewy has been doing a lot of learning while in foster care. He has had to learn toilet training, sitting for food and other things. He still needs some reminding though and will need someone with time and patience to keep up his training. He's not fussed by birds and possums in the garden and will sleep the whole night through on his bed inside.

Chewy is good on a lead, which is good as he does enjoy walks. Yes, he does spin in excitement for walks too. He just likes being with you, inside or outside, he is happiest when with you. He enjoys relaxing in the sun if you are outside doing things. He has been good with children of all ages but best to home with children who are dog savvy.

He can be unsure of other dogs and further socialisation would be great. He's been introduced to placid and gentle dogs and after a short while he is settled in and playing games. He is good at sharing too and takes turns sharing chicken treats.
