About Louis ~ Maltese x (On Trial 16/10/16)
Louis The family man is a 4.5 year old Maltese x. He is very friendly with people, other dogs, cats, children and babies. He’s an absolute sweetheart. He loves to cuddle up but also loves to play with his favourite toys and with his doggy foster sister. He has also been great with my baby and loves to sit next to him for pats and chats with the occasional doggy kiss.
He has been staying outside mostly during the day and then sleeping inside on a doggy bed at night. He would be ok by himself or with some doggy brothers and sisters.
Louis is very obedient and listens to everything you say. He just wants love and company. He is really driven to be around others and so I would say that his best home would be with people who are home a lot of the time. He really is great with kids and my 5 and 7 year old niece and nephew adore him. He is very gentle and loving towards them. He’s a great family pet.
During the day, he potters around the garden sniffing and cuddles up on the doggy bed for a nap. He also has a brief bark if anyone comes into the gate so he’s a good watch dog. He is fully toilet trained also.
Louis has a lovely, gentle little heart and is looking for his forever family to make his life complete. He’s a great guy.
Louis is located in Mayfield West, Newcastle NSW 2304. Please contact foster carer Kate 0401 218 211 or email2kateja6182@gmail.com for more information.
Louis' adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
