Lucky ~ 6yo Mastiff X girl (on trial 11/01/17)

Lucky is a gorgeous female six year old Mastiff X. This beautiful girl has a lot of love to give and her forever family will be the lucky ones.

She adores human contact and is always after a pat or a cuddle or a nice long belly rub. Give her a few minutes of a belly rub and she might just start snoring! Despite her size she is an extremely calm natured gentle dog and is wonderful around children, but as she is strong young children should still always be supervised.

Lucky would do well to lose a few kilos, but with daily walks and the right diet she’ll slim down in no time. Her favourite exercise is a nice walk with her humans. She knows basic commands like sit, drop and roll. She needs a bit more practice with stay and come, so is best kept on her lead when out until she’s had more training and is more familiar with her new family. She enjoys most food and likes a good bone but may try bury it, so to protect your garden always supervise her with bones, or have a designated sand pit or digging area and teach her to bury here – she’s an extremely clever girl and learns quickly.

Lucky loves every person she meets however she does get a little anxious around other overly active or loud dogs so would do much better as an only dog. She is unknown around cats and pocket pets but has happily lived alongside chickens and a duck.

Lucky spends time inside and outside during the day. She is currently sleeping inside and is fully house trained. Lucky’s ideal home is one where someone will be home most of the day to keep her company and where she can receive lots of family time. As she is a bit of an anxious dog she will need to be reassured that her family loves her and is there to stay.

Lucky travels very well in a car, she never chews or jumps, she will only bark if she senses that something’s not quite right and has nothing but love to give her new family. If you’re after a gentle soul to cuddle and be your best friend, look no further – Lucky is the girl for you!
