About Sparky
Hi there, Sparky is the name, and I'm a mix of Maltese/Spitz and approx 5yrs old. I was lucky enough to find my way into a loving foster home a little while back after Wally's Doggie Rescue saved me from the Pound. I wasn't in great condition when I arrived, but am feeling a whole lot better now that the issues I presented with have been treated, and put on some much needed weight.
My foster family have been great, and probably deserve a medal for being so patient with me! I'm living with 3 little doggie companions, 2 kids, my foster mum and lots and lots of birds. I'm super playful, as in, puppy playful, LOVE my food, well socialised with other dogs, LOVE my toys, walk well on lead and pretty much toilet trained, although I may sometimes be lazy and have the odd accident.
I'm just going to quickly mention a few areas I may need training and help with....I'm quite vocal, especially around dinner time and will make it pretty much impossible for you to forget to feed me, so let's look at that as a positive....I will let you know when I'm hungry. I have a tendency to nip at your feet and see this as 'playing', but this is definitely something I'm willing to work towards correcting.... and lastly, my attitude maybe somewhat similiar to a naughty puppy at times. But, in my defence, I haven't had a loving, nurturing home until now and with the right family/person, would be willing to work with you so we can sort these issues out.
I would be best suited in a home with children over 10yrs and would love another active doggie companion to play with and keep me company. Due to my size, I won't need a large backyard but will need a person/family who are committed to my needs and training as I'm hoping more than anything, that this will be my forever home.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and I.
My adoption fee covers my microchipping, desexing, yearly vaccination, wormers and flea treatment while in care. Now that all my vet work has been done, I'm ready to meet you! Located in Toukley, on the Central Coast NSW.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
