About Luke
Luke

Dog Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Yes
Hi. My name is Luke and I am a six month old boxer cross catahoula pup. My foster mum says I am a true gentleman. I do try to be. I am always a good boy. I sit when she tells me to and I know how to drop too. And I would never ever leave messes in the house. That's what little pups do - not big boys like me. The vet told my foster mum that I am going to be a big adult dog but she said that's okay because I am such a well behaved boy.
I am a rather relaxed pup. 'Chilled' is what my foster mum calls it. I would never jump up on people. I know if I sit nicely they will give me a pat. I love my pats. And cuddles are the best. Oh, don't forget belly rubs. They are so good. I love going for walks and I would never never pull on the lead. I know I have to be well behaved when I go out.
Mum tells me I am a submissive boy. Maybe that is why I have so many doggy friends in my foster home. I even get on well with the grumpy older dog there. The pups my age are lots of fun to play with. I do need to be extra gentle when we have tiny pups come to stay. I know I have to be very careful with them. I love it when they all cuddle up with me in my bed. Mummy says I would be great with small children because I know how to be so gentle. Sometimes I am shy when I meet new people. I don't know why but I do try hard to be brave and once I get to know someone and they give me pats and cuddles I feel very special. I have to have a doggy friend so I can feel safe and to help me adjust to the changes. I may be a little frightened for a little while and would beed someone patient who can see how wonderful I can be
I have been in foster care for such a long time. I would love to have my own very special family to love me. Will you adopt me and love me?

Adoption Process
We send out our application to the new potential family and when our forms are returned we start a process called screening. When we have finished our screening and all information that comes back is approved. We do a meet and greet, sometimes more than two. If all parties are happy, we then allow our foster furkid go into your home. After 3 weeks sometimes more, we do a revisit and see how everyone is going, then we change over microchip registration if everything is great.
