About Tobi ~ Maltese, 5yo boy (On Trial 8/10/16)
Tobi is a 5 year old, male, Maltese X charmer. Where ever we go and whoever we meet we are told what a beautiful placid natured dog he is. He is extremely friendly, quiet, travels well in a car and is happy to walk on a lead.
Tobi is great with EVERYONE- men, women, children, cats and other dogs. He isn't interested in chasing a ball or playing with toys but he likes to gently play with other small dogs. It would be wonderful for him to have a playmate but he would also be fine on his own.
Tobi is happy to sit on your lap and soak up the love! He comes when he is called, follows you everywhere and sits at your feet. If he has no playmates he would suit a family who is home often to be with him.
Tobi will need daily brushing and to be bathed and clipped on a regular basis to keep his coat in good condition. He is in very good health and may need his teeth professionally cleaned in the near future. He has a very placid nature for his grooming needs and will sit still patiently for long periods of time enjoying the close attention.
Tobi is toilet trained and is learning to use a dog door. He is an indoor dog who needs access to a backyard during the day and a bed inside at night. He currently sleeps on the dog bed in the corner of our room with his foster siblings and would settle for the laundry if he had to.
For more information or to meet Tobi, please contact Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882, leaving a message with a name and contact details.
Tobi is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate. Tobi’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
