Sammy ** A Lovely Natured Boy **

Hello, my name is Sam and I am a Rottweiler cross about 32kg. I’m about 2 years old, but not sure as I was not microchipped until I was rescued by Rocky’s K9 Rescue. I am very well natured, but have been mistreated in the past. I am timid with adults when I first meet them until I know they are friendly and won’t hurt me, but once I trust them I really love human interaction and cuddles. I am very gentle when given treats and love sardines & rice for breakfast. I will eat dry food if I am hungry, but much prefer the mince, veggies & rice that I get in foster care. I have been house trained and am friendly with other dogs. I am currently living with 3 large female dogs and we all get on very well. I don’t bark and have not tried to escape from the yard, but I will need a secure yard with high fences though. I walk reasonably well on the lead and don’t pull too much unless there is another dog I want to meet. I am learning to sit before crossing the road, but will need more training from an experience dog owner. I am house trained and I do sleep indoors on a nice big dog bed or a sofa. I do jump up on people for cuddles, so not suitable for small children and this behaviour is being discouraged by my foster carer.
