Dexter

Dexter was an unwanted present, though owners loved him they had other plans, felt were bit too old for such a young dog. Dexter is a larger small dog, (long legs)
Dexter is a very lively young man loves to run, is a great jumper so needs a secure yard with high fences. He is cross poodle/Malt/shin tzu. As you can see he favours poodle side. Grew up with a family of 8 was good with children. Due his joyful behaviour would suit family of older children that will run & play with him. Listed no children to start with, would suit older children/teens as he needs a lot of interaction. Needs firm hand and training school.
Dexter had escaped from transport a few weeks ago, was loose for about a week, Being persued and caught has made him rather excitable and not trusting at first meeting. Has been sleeping on my bed with my smaller shin tzu mix and running and playing without any aggression. Enjoys walks needs more socialising, is well behaved in house. Needs company of another small dog around same activity level, has problems with medium and up dogs.. Not really cat friendly though did grow up with cats. Resident cat gets harrassed.(She tells him off)
We are on the Central Coast. Prefer to have adopted in the area.
