About Mantis
Mantis is a little pocket rocket who LOVES to play! She does however have some joint issues that mean her playtime needs to be monitored, and pain relief given, if she over does it.
Mantis came into care with a mouth full of rotting teeth and an extremely sore back/hips. She has had a major dental and her teeth are now nice and healthy (though she doesn't have a huge amount left!) and x-rays showed that she has both hip dysplasia and luxating patellas. While this sounds overwhelming, she doesn't require any surgery, as she has lived and adjusted to this throughout out her life. She will however more than likely develop arthritis at an early age and will need ongoing support for her joints as she ages.
Mantis is extremely cat friendly, though would be just as happy as an only cat. She loves a pat and is happy to be picked up but isn't keen on being held or lap sitting, at this stage.
Mantis is not a fan of being brushed or groomed in any way and she will need a home that is prepared to take this slowly and help her to learn that being groomed is a pleasurable experience, not a punishment. In the mean time, you will need to be willing to have her professionally groomed, should she need it.

Medical notes
Mantis goes to her new home desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and having had a major dental and several x-rays. She has both hip dysplasia and luxating patellas, but neither require surgery. She will need ongoing pain relief at times and joint support through supplements as she ages.
