Ruby has a little sadness in those beautiful eyes. Her owner passed away and she was surrendered to the pound as no one was able to take her on. She adores humans and follows her foster carer everywhere, simply wanting a loving cuddle. Her basic obedience is good and she gets on with other dogs but is a little too keen on cats but has manners and will leave alone when told.
When Ruby arrived in care she was taken to the vet for a health check, we do this for all new dogs. This is when we discovered she has a heart murmur. She has obviously coped with it all her life but this girl will need a special new owner who will look after her, giving her all the love and attention she needs to get over her grief in a quiet environment with an understanding new mum or dad.

**PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SENDING AN ENQUIRY OR CALLING US!**
OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.

3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
