Hi there, my name is Poni,

I am a very special and loving young girl. I was surrendered to Lort Smith as my previous owners could not take on the cost of caring for me and also because they knew that I needed more attention and behaviour training than they could give.

I must go to obedience training to learn some manners and for ongoing socialisation with other dogs. I can sometimes let out a growl with other dogs although I have never tried to nip or bite. I need this behaviour to be trained out of me, this is just due to lack of socialisation and exposure to other dogs, I'm just not quite sure how to react.

I have improved a great deal with this issue while being here at Lort Smith and the behaviour team have been working on this and other basic manners with me.

I am very responsive to training and am always looking to my handler for approval.

I have lived with another dog before however I think I need my issues with other dogs worked out before I live with a canine housemate.
