About Sis ~ 4yo terrier mix (On Trial 7/10/16)
Meet Miss Sis! This cutie pie has mastered the "I will make you fall in love with me" look with her eyes! If you're looking for a quiet, soft and gentle soul whose number one priority is to give you endless amounts of cuddles and kisses then look no further!
Sissy is a female, 4 year old, Border Terrier mix and very unique looking. She is small to medium size and 9kgs of muscle. She absolutely loves people and has never growled or barked at anyone. She has no health or behavioural issues; she is a just a sweet, wonderful, care bear!
Sis is transitioning from being an outdoor dog to an indoor dog. She is enjoying the couch life and is getting more used to being inside each day and sleeping in her own dog bed. She wouldn't say no to sleeping in her human's bed either if you invited her.
Sis didn't have the benefit of much training before being rescued but she responds well to her name and we are teaching her to sit when asked, walk nicely on lead, and other basics and she's doing well. We are house training her and she is getting better every day.
Sis's ideal home would have someone home most of the day such as a part time worker, stay at home parent or retiree. Her foster carers both work full time so Sis is getting used to being alone longer hours but we would love to see her go to a home where she has more time with people. She would love to follow you around and help with housework then keep you company in from of the TV. She may not have had much attention or love in her former life so she deserves plenty of it now.
Sis isn't a huge jumper, but can jump pretty high if she wants to get something so 5ft fencing would be ideal. She wouldn't mind living with another dog as long as they are not too hyperactive as she likes her "me" time. Provided she has somewhere she can take herself to get away from busy dogs or children then she will be fine. We haven't seen her with cats or pocket pets and would recommend older children who will understand when she needs down time.
For more information or to meet Sis, please contact her carer Nikki by phone/text 0422 143 283 or email to ngeorgiou18@hotmail.com - email preferred. Sis is in foster care in Eleebana, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Sis's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
