About Ted ~ blue cattle dog (on trial 1/10/16)
Ted is a handsome, 6 year old, male, blue cattle dog that is known for his big brown eyes and soft nature. He has a gentle temperament and loves to be close by you. If Ted's big brown eyes don't win your heart his huge smile will.
Ted is very affectionate and loves long cuddles. If you give him the opportunity he will try and hop on your lap just like a little lap dog. He is always interested in what you're doing and likes to be involved even if he just gets to watch. Ted does not have a bad bone in his body, he loves all people. He is very well behaved when people come to visit. He has a little bark but once they enter the yard and he couldn't be friendlier.
Ted gets along with other dogs. He is currently sharing a house with 3 small dogs. He loves to play with the other dogs and also loves to play fetch and chill out on the grass and chew a good bone. He doesn't dig holes, jump fences, or attempt to escape. He isn't a nuisance barker and only barks when he hears something unfamiliar, which is really good.
Ted knows how to sit and come when asked and will enjoy more training. He is super smart and we are teaching him "stay", "wait", "drop it" and "in your bed". Ted has a beautiful soft coat and enjoys being brushed. He is also good with a groomer.
Ted loves a good walk and he is fantastic on a lead! He doesn't bother with other animals or people when he's out for a walk, he just enjoys getting out there. He will need daily exercise even if it's just playing fetch in the yard when you can't take him for a walk.
Ted is fine to be outside during the day and is currently sleeping in the laundry at night. He will need to be welcome inside of an evening to bond with his family. He is house trained. Ted would suit a home where he has another dog(s) to play with, human company and a yard to run around in.
Something unique about Ted is that he likes to play with fruit, such as oranges dropped from our tree! He picks it up and throws it then chases it. Adorable.
If you're looking for an easy care dog to love, cuddle and be your best friend then Ted is definitely the dog you will want to take home.
For more information or to meet Ted, please contact his foster carer Chontelle by texting 0477 779 534 or email to bubbles13.5.11@hotmail.com. Ted is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Ted's adoption fee is only $200 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
