About Polly
Our gorgeous girl, Polly, is a fun, happy dog who absolutely adores playing with her foster siblings and receiving lots of cuddles and pats from her foster family. She arrived to us with her sister, Molly, quite timid, however in her foster home she is learning that the world and its inhabitants aren’t so scary after all.
Polly is quickly learning right from wrong. She is excellent on and off leash, she has terrific recall, she understands boundaries in and around the house and no longer crosses them and she has just started learning some basic obedience. She has had no problems with any of the dogs in her current foster home, nor the ones she has met while out on walks and socialising.
Polly is very clever, gentle with children and would make an amazing family dog. She is coming out of her shell more and more each day and to see how far she has come in such a short time is so encouraging. She has only recently begun regular socialisation and training, so this will be strongly encouraged to be continued during the rest of her puppy years, to ensure she grows into a well-socialised and balanced dog.
Polly will be looking for a home with another mature and confident male doggy companion to keep her company and help her learn the ways of the world.
Considering her breed and her strong-willed nature around those who fail to assert themselves, Polly will be looking for an owner who knows what it means to be ‘boss’, and has experience in her breed/training dogs. We strongly recommend that Polly attends puppy class, as through this she will continue to be socialised in a controlled environment, as well as have the opportunity to develop the much needed trust and respect for her owners required to form a strong and lasting bond.
Polly is toilet trained and has not had a single accident inside her current carers home. She sleeps inside and absolutely adores her crate, using it to regroup and as a sort of ‘safe haven’ when she becomes overwhelmed, emerging once again when she’s comfortable.
Polly is honestly just a beautiful pup, inside and out; who needs an understanding and loving forever home. If you have any questions regarding our sweet girl, we would love to hear from you!
Polly is located in Ballarat.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
