About Asha
**UNDER APPLICATION - 08/10/16**
Are you looking for a big, loyal, lovable goofball who just loves hanging out wherever you are? Then meet Asha!
Asha arrived in foster care last week after finding herself on Death Row at a rural New South Wales pound. She's had a rough old time the last few months and was a little timid at first, but you would never know that now! Those pound days are already distant memory, and Asha has a heap of new-found confidence from the love and attention showered on her in her foster home up in Queensland where she is enjoying her freedom! She loves nothing more than following you around, lying on the couch next to you, and sneaking up on the bed in the mornings (and when you try to get to sleep!) for a cuddle. She also enjoys a good tummy rub and will roll all over the grass. She is certainly a bit cheeky, and will bat you with her big paws to let you know she isn't ready for you to stop patting her!
Asha is still getting the hang of commands, but comes when she is called and walks like a dream on the lead. She looks to be a fabulous running buddy with those long legs easily keeping pace (just don't try running with treats in your pocket or she will trip you up trying to get at them)! She gets on very well with all the dogs that she has met so far, and has enjoyed some very energetic games of chase and wrestling with her boisterous Kelpie foster brother. She is also beautifully gentle with the next door neighbour's very elderly labrador. Asha seems to be potentially cat friendly, and has been observing her foster cat sister with some interest (although there have been no direct kitty-doggy meetings as yet). She LOVES all humans and is also child friendly but due to her long legs may knock very little ones over by accident (currently she isn't the most coordinated of dogs around the house!).
Asha is looking for a furever home where she can be showered with love and affection from her family to banish those dark pound days into the past for good! She would benefit from a home where she can be an indoor/outdoor dog (with sofa snuggles), and definitely wouldn't mind having other doggie brothers and sisters. She has been sleeping inside with her Kelpie foster brother with no problems, and appears toilet trained as she will wait until morning to go outside to go to the toilet.
Asha has all her vetwork completed including desexing, microchipping, vaccination, and a heartworm test.
