Jasper

This little fellow is so cool. He is friendly, playful and loves car rides and friendly dogs!

Jasper is pretty much the whole package. He is cute(obviously!), playful, has spunk and character, is really sweet, loves toys, plays really well with his kelpie foster sister, he is a lap dog who loves cuddles, is well mannered, doesn't pull on the lead, is toilet trained, wants to please his people, can use a doggy door and sleeps quietly in his crate at night!

Jasper would suit a home with or without another dog. He needs someone who is willing to further his training as he is only young and would benefit from mental stimulation. He is very well mannered but lacks some basic commands. Though would be easy to teach as he's willing to please. He has just learnt to shake hands with his foster carer.

Jasper also requires someone who understands he can be overwhelmed and intimidated by strangers. Jasper does take a while to warm up to new people, and requires an owner who has time, patience, respect of his space and the ability to recognise when he is felling threatened. It's important that he has his own safe place to retreat to (crate preferably) when visitors come by. Although he may be bouncy and excited to begin with, he doesn't quite understand that people want to say hi and pat him straight away too! So he then finds himself in a confusing situation where he becomes fearful and therefore it's best he be placed in his safe place. It's for this reason that Jasper is not suitable to be homed with children.

He has not been cat or small animal tested.

He seems to be fine at home by himself, however would love plenty of playtime and a walk everyday. Also to be inside at night, relaxing watching TV with his humans and curling up in a warm bed for the night.

So if you are looking for a small dog with spunk and character, and are willing to provide some TLC and respect his space, you can't look past this guy!
