About Chase D0288 adopted 21/3/17
Chase is a slightly shy, sensitive soul who is looking for a kind home where someone is home a fair bit of the time. He came to us described as Dalmatian x Labrador although we feel there may be some Staffy and/or Kelpie in there too!! He is great with the other dogs he's met with SAFE and also with chooks and the local wildlife (roos, lizards etc). He also seems to be tolerant of cats. He is loving and just wants to be around people; he will be your shadow and just follow you around for the first few days. Chase is fully house trained and likes to be indoors where his family is. Chase's one bad habit is a tendency to chase car tyres, so he needs to be away from your driveway when cars are coming/going so that he doesn't get the urge to tyre-chase. Given this, he will also need high fencing so that he can't get out if he sees cars going by.
Chase loves going for walks and also loves his offlead runs/playtimes with the other dogs in his foster home on their property. He knows the basic commands, has good recall, loves being in the car and travels well. Chase doesn't bark very much at all. He can get a bit too stressy around very young children with their noise and level of activity/movement, so may be best in a home with older kids over about 10 - 12.
This dog really is a smooch of a dog who lives giving and receiving licks and cuddles. Guard dog material he is not! So if you can offer Chase a gentle, kind and inclusive home where he can settle into your routine with a bit of patience, please enquire for him by emailing us details of your home, fencing, family, other pets, work pattern, ability to exercise daily, where he would spend his time and sleep at night, and when you are available to adopt.
Chase is fostered in Cowaramup.
