Hi I’m Raphael! But you can call me Raph.

I have been loving life since being taken in by GAR and have been impressing everyone with my manners. I will sit and wait for my food, would NEVER steal anything that isn’t mine, and will ‘sit’ ‘drop’ ‘shake’ ‘hang 10’ and ‘roll over’ with the best of them!

I sleep nicely on my bed all night, but definitely wouldn’t say no if you wanted to let me on your bed.

I am well behaved, affectionate, and loyal, but I do need a family that can spend a lot of time with me because I can get anxious when left alone.

I love playing fetch, and will come back quickly when called. I have gotten along well with horses, cats, and guinea pigs. I love playing with other dogs but can sometimes get a bit rough when I’m overexcited so it’s best to supervise me.

I love to go on long walks, and am getting better every day at not pulling when walking on a short leash. I need firm leadership as I get a little anxious when I don’t have clear rules and boundaries, or when going to new places. I like to know how to be a good boy!

Raph would be best suited to being the only dog in the household as his anxiety can sometimes cause a ripple effect. He is well behaved with kids of all ages but due to his size and his capacity to get a little overexcited he would be best suited to children over the age of 8.
