Marla ~ Corgi x Red Cattle Dog (on trial 19/10/16)

The sweet Marla is a cheeky 1 year old female Cattle X Corgi who loves people and other dogs. She is the size of a small Corgi but has the energy and personality of a Red Cattle dog.

Don’t underestimate those stumpy little legs - she can run, jump, use stairs, and be very playful. When she’s very playful with her foster sister, she spins around in circles of happiness.

She is cheeky in that she will make her way inside a door if you open it in front of her – she’s so small and quick she’ll be inside for a quick run before you know she’s passed you! She comes straight back outside after she’s had her thrill.

Marla is used to being outside with a playmate, and she loves children. She also likes the taste of cats.

At first Marla is timid and shy, and moves like an older dog, but once she opens up she literally springs into action and her youthfulness is apparent. She freezes up on the lead too, insisting you either drag her or pick her up (or let her off the lead);

Not much is known about Marla’s past. She is not housetrained and doesn’t know any basic commands yet. Her future owner will need to be patient with her to teach her how to be a good girl. She travels well in the car but does not enjoy being on a lead.
