About Annabelle ~ Kelpie x Border Collie (on trial 30/10
Hello, I’m Annabelle. I’m an almost 1 year old Kelpie x Border Collie. I’m cute, I’m smart and I’m eagerly awaiting a home to call my own.
I have basic training but I do like to learn new things. I have great manners, for example, I sit, I stay and I try really hard not to jump fences, but being a kelpie, apparently you will need good fences, because I cannot be trusted!
I walk well on a lead; sit for dinner; and am toilet trained. In fact, for not even 1 year old, I think I’m pretty good for a young’n.
My coat is a little thick, so I will need brushing every few days so I don’t shed hair everywhere.
I currently live with 3 small dogs, another medium sized dog and a revolving door of foster dogs. I get on with everyone and am very sociable. Other dogs need to know that I am extremely smart and I do like to be the boss. I can’t help it, I’m very intelligent and I know what’s best for everyone; just ask me!
I like to sleep inside at night because I really am still a puppy. I like to be with the crowd, both doggy and human, so even though I’m really, really, tired, I like to the last person to call it a night. But once I do call it a night, you won’t hear a peep out of me until the morning.
My favourite things to do (when you are not around) is to go through the kitchen cupboards looking for snacks, take the clothes off the line (I thought I was helping!), play rough with the big boys and, and, and, that’s about it.When I’m not being naughty, I’m apparently a really good doggy.
My foster mummy says that I’m sending her grey early, but also says that I’m incredibly sweet. She says that she could just write about me being a really good dog, but at the end of the day, I’m still a puppy and I’m allowed to be a little bit naughty.
I’m currently living in doggy paradise in the Port Stephens (NSW) area. I haven’t had the best start to life, but I deserves the love of a good human and in return, you will get the love and loyalty of a very cool dog.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
