About Bella ~ Kelpie x (On Trial 10/10/16)
Hi! I’m Bella, and I'm a 1 year old Kelpie X . My name suits me because everyone tells me I’m a really beautiful girl.
I know my manners and can shake your hand, sit, stay, and wait for food when I’m told. I know to get on my bed when I’m asked, and I scratch at the door to go out to the toilet. If I want to come inside, I will give the door a little scratch then sit until you tell me to come in. I’m pretty good at coming when called, especially when there aren’t many distractions. Sometimes at the beach I get excited and walk off a bit too far, but a little trust and training will fix that, I really like training, I think it’s a fun game.
I like exploring and I would need a secure yard with at least 5ft fencing. I think fetch is fun and tug of war too. I also enjoy destroying a tennis ball; that can keep me busy for a little while!
I love little kids, and I don’t mind it when they give me a cuddle as long as they’re gentle. I also love going for walks and playing in the yard, but I like to have a snooze on my inside bed through the day. I would do best in a home where I’m not left alone all day often, as I really like spending time with my family. Regular walks and play time are important for me.
I’m happy to sleep outside in my kennel at night, but I love coming in for a snuggle in the morning. I like snuggles any time of the day really! I will even try to cuddle up to my foster family’s other dog, and I love to give her kisses. I am great with other dogs. I really like getting a good scratch and a pat as well.
My adoption fee is $400, and I'm desexed, vaccinated, treated for worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
If you'd like to ask about me, please contact my foster carer Madi at Madison.bernasconi@hotmail.com, or 0401596326.
I am in foster care in Charlestown (Lake Macquarie, South of Newcastle) and I am available for interstate adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
