About Chanachaca
I am nothing but a super sweet lass with a heart as golden as my big expressive eyes. One of those rare and elusive finds, the stunning ginger female, I may have a complicated name but the love I will have for my new family is simple and pure.
I have been in foster care for several months since arriving at the local pound with my little hoarde of ginger babies when they were just 6 weeks old. I was malnourished, emaciated and unwell. I had struggled on, caring for my kittens on my own (and keep them chubby and healthy) but it at all got to be too much and it was lucky that we found foster care when we did because I was getting sick with a nasty virus. I spent over a week at the vets on a drip receiving round the clock care to get me better again.
Now I am a robust and healthy girl. My kittens are well and truly old enough to make their own way in the world and it is time for me to find a forever home where I will be loved and give love in return, where I will never go hungry again or have to suffer out in the cold. I am sweet, affectionate, loving and gentle but also playful and fun-loving. I could live with other cats or dogs, pending an appropriate introduction. Please take me home today!
Medical notes
In addition to everything else going on with my health, I managed to contract ringworm. Ringworm is (deceptively) not a worm, it is a fungal skin condition just like athlete's foot in humans. I am almost fully recovered now so it is just recommended that you apply normal hygiene procedures to avoid spreading it around.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
