About Axel
Axel is a purebred German Shepherd male aged 4. His family realise they did not have the time for him that he deserved and so they have reluctantly decided to surrender him into our care to find him a loving home.
Axel is an almost perfect dog except he does not like cats so he must not go to a home where they are cats or pocket pets or smaller pets.
He is quite well behaved at off leash parks but he needs more training especially on the lead. He does pull and because he is a big unit he would need someone strong and experienced.
Once he focuses, his basic obedience is ok but he would benefit greatly from attending an obedience club or a GSD club. He has been to obedience training on a regular basis and he has much improved and we would like that to continue. He enjoys the challenge of training and also he enjoys having a run with his chums after class.
He would suit a family with older children and someone home most of the time. He was spending most of his day in the back yard and was not coping. He is not to be used as a guard dog while the family is out all day.
He is a very affectionate funny boy and he has lots of love to give. If you can offer him the best home please contact Jo on 9476 2782.
Medical notes
Axel is desexed, vaccinated on heart worm prevention. He has been regularly flea treated and wormed. He will come with his full vet history.
