About Argus
Meet Argus! It's a 2 year old, medium-large mixed breed boy that just wants to love basically everything. He's very smoochy to people and most other animals--particularly cats whom he enjoys grooming immensely!
He is exceptionally loyal to his owner and will be at your feet sitting and staring up at you the second you're in his presence. He has been off leash a couple of times and responds well to recall most of the time as recall means pats and pats are what life is all about!
As he is a working breed mix he does have some of the breed traits that come along with this. Not in regards to energy levels though! This boy is done and dusted and ready to go home after the first fifteen minutes, but inside that lazy body is a brain that is definitely ticking.
Argus has fast figured out how door handles works (not knobs, just the lever style handlers that can be pushed down) and will let himself in or out of rooms if he thinks what is on the other side is more interesting, and in crate training he also discovered how to slide the latch out of the lock if he presses on just the right spot so D-links are best utilised in that regard.
He does however enjoy using that brain of his for training and picks up new tricks and skills at the drop of a hat so if you're looking for a dog to teach all kinds of party tricks to then this is your man! Basically everything he does is geared towards getting to and making his human happy, and as such he's an easy one to train.
The ideal home for Argus would be someone with another dog or two that loves to play and wrestle. He isn't a rough player and his preferred play style is bouncing and rolling around and running side by side. He can take a bit to figure out who stands where with male dogs, but has never had a problem meeting or welcoming another dog into the house or out in public.
He is not a dog that can be left in the yard 24/7 as he does crave human attention and affection so he would need to be let in for cuddles at night and be allowed to be part of the family.
If you're looking for a best mate to join your family and have some fun with come and meet Argus today!

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
