About Carmen
NOTICE -- Carmen is moving to the ACT on Friday 21st. She will still be available for interstate adoption from this point.
Carmen is a puppy full of beans!
She is very intelligent and energetic. She is an independent thinker, and will come up with solutions to any problems she is faced with. She loves to solve puzzles. Carmen is highly affectionate and loving, very sweet. She is good with strangers, kids, cats and dogs of all sizes.
Carmen will love mental stimulation. Trick training would be ideal. She is a vocal dog and likes to bark in play, which I think is related to her breeding. She will need a daily walk and playing throughout the day to keep her happy and healthy.
Carmen does not jump or climb fences, she has never escaped the yard. She doesn't dig or chew. She walks us to the gate every morning and says goodbye to us, and greets us at the gate again after work. She never attempts to run out and will even back away to give you enough space to enter! Carmen has been a full time outside dog for a few months now, and has not caused any issues. She entertains herself without being destructive or obtrusive. She is the perfect puppy to live with!
Carmen travels well in the car, either in a carrier or secured via a harness. She walks on leash and sits for her meals.
Carmen has been in care since she was 6 weeks old.
She is handler focused and food driven.
Medical notes
Carmen has a natural 3/4 tail.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
